Each month, Marie Claire travels to a new city to discover the very best in beauty that location has to offer, from hidden gem holistic spas to skincare emporiums to workout classes you can't find anywhere else.

Intimate Hair Salon: The Hair Atelier

If you think you're lost in a suburb, you're in the right place: The Hair Atelier is actually housed inside a chic repurposed home—and worth going off the beaten path. Celebrity stylist David Pierre has sculpted strands all over the world, and at his new home base, he offers masterful color, cuts, and blowouts for high-class clientele.

Master Manicurist: Phillip Tran

Phillip Tran is the city’s resident nail-art connoisseur—his style is as maximalist as it is meticulous (see above). He's catered to some of the most extra hands on the scene, including those belonging to Kylie Jenner and Bella Thorne. He's big on Instagram, so shoot him a direct message to lock down a coveted appointment.

Late-Night Spa: Wi Spa

Picture this: The sun is rising. Maybe you're just waking up and feeling the pain from too many cocktails. Or, the sun is rising and you're still not ready to head home yet. Either way, some pampering is in order. That's why partied-out Angelenos are known to hit Wi Spa well into the wee hours. The sauna- and Jacuzzi-packed Korean spa is open 24/7, and even serves traditional cuisine to satiate the restless.

Sweat Sesh: The Wall

Signature classes at the Wall (thewallfitness.com), founded by celebrity trainer Jason Wimberly, incorporate core work, weight training, and cycling for maximum results. For the ultimate experience, try their signature Lift x Ride, a hybrid weights-cycling class that'll have you crawling home. You know, in a good way.

Best for Beauty Rest: The Nomad L.A.

If the roaring-twenties vibes of the NoMad Los Angeles's lobby (housed in the historic Giannini Place) don’t make you feel Gatsby-level glam, the deep bath tubs and Bastide’s Argan amenities certainly will. Before an evening soak, pop up to the chic rooftop pool and bar for a cocktail.
