We're in the thick of fashion month, kicked off by Copenhagen and followed by New York Fashion Week, where designers, editors, and well-dressed guests set their sights on what will be trending for the season ahead. While the industry has its eyes turned to the future of fashion trends on the runways, I’ve been looking to the street style set outside of the shows for some much-needed fall fashion inspiration. I noticed in my search that the season’s stylish attendees were wearing and styling some of 2024’s biggest sneaker trends on the market right now.

The best part is that the sneakers seen on the street this season offer something for everyone. Models like Gigi Hadid and Kaia Gerber have already co-signed the bright red sneakers of the moment, while cool white sneakers and sleek black sneaker styles have been the ideal swap for everyday ballet flats. Kendall Jenner and several models have also been depending on their chunky sneakers to get them from one show to the next.

Below is some street-style sneaker inspiration for your fall mood board, with affordable pairs under $200 and investment-worthy designer styles to boost your wardrobe.

Red Sneakers

The cherry red color trend continues into the new season in the form of these punchy sneakers.

Bright sneakers are everywhere, but I specifically saw so many different red options on the street this season. Gigi Hadid and Kaia Gerber have both worn red sneakers this summer and their popularity at Fashion Week this season proves they'll be a trend that continues into the fall and winter months.

Slender Sneakers

Slender sneakers aren't going anywhere this year, as evidenced by one of the most popular trends on the street this season.

The Adidas Samba continues to be the It-sneaker of the moment, but many other similar options are on the market, too. Gola and Dolce Vita, for instance, sell under-$150 options that have the same look, for even less.

Black Sneakers

Black sneakers serve as a welcome alternative to ballet flats and loafers for the fall season.

Black sneakers are the underrated hero of any fall wardrobe. They're as versatile as a little black dress, and thanks to the fact that they're majorly trending right now, there are so many options to choose from. Vans' trendy under-$100 pair—which Jennifer Lawrence loves—is a welcome throwback in my collection, while Isabel Marant's velcroe Beth Sneakers are an easy-on-easy-off alternative.

Fresh White Sneakers

A fresh white pair of sneakers is never not a good idea for days spent on your feet.

When you want to look polished, there is no better alternative than a freshly cleaned pair of white sneakers. This season, look for all-white options made from luxe leather combinations.

Chunky Sneakers

Chunky running sneakers are the comfiest shoe option, hands down.

Chunky sneakers are returning amongst the off-duty models this season at Fashion Week. Running sneakers are everywhere, proving that so-called "dad shoes" are not going anywhere as we head towards the year's second half. This list includes a Nike pair in which both Jenner and Gerber have been spotted recently.
