I'm Filling My Closet With These 4 Summer Bag Styles

And you should, too.

Friends! Sorry to leave you hanging last week, but I promise it was for good reason. Shortly after launching our Motherhood Issue and holding our inaugural Power Moms awards dinner, team MC traveled to Atlanta for our annual Power Play summit. That’s right, we took our show on the road, touching down in A-Town for a day of incredible programming centered around this year’s theme: Freedom and Your Future: Rewriting the Rules for Your Most Well-Rounded Life. We had a series of conversations with stars like Natasha Lyonn, Kandi Burress, Marsai Martin, Olympian Jordan Chiles, and many others, about how our individual and collective choices show up in different areas of our lives, including style, career, and culture.

Now that I’m back, though, I’ve got summer bag styles on the brain. More specifically, ones like the following that I find myself reaching for during warmer months.

OVERNIGHT SCHLEPPERS

Summer calls for weekends by the water or quickie road trips where you just need a couple of outfits. Ditch the roller bag, and carry one of these travel bags instead.

GOING-OUT CLUTCHES

Touch grass! Have fun with your friends! Actively refuse to carry a ton of stuff!

BEACH (OR PARK) BAGS

Grab a towel or blanket, some libations and snacks, and spend the day lounging outside with friends and family.

RAFFIA AND BASKET TOTES

This material just screams warm weather. Always has, always will.
