If you follow me on Instagram, you know one thing is true—I’m very tired of getting dressed in 85 degree weather. New York City is one hot, soupy, smelly (ha!) mess and I’m ready for the temperatures to cool down. One way I’m dealing with this internal temper tantrum is by daydreaming about fall outfits. This week the fashion team shared the 10 trends defining fall this year and I am INSPIRED. Time to get the wish-list going!

All Things Altuzarra

Altuzarra was my favorite fall 2024 show. I distinctly remember walking into the salon-style presentation in a not-so-great mood, but leaving inspired and wishing I owned every pair of pants, almond-toe heels, chunky knits, and hats that were shown. I can’t wait to shop a few of these pieces and hold on to them for many seasons to come.

Fringe and Feathers

I love wearing sequins for a night out with the girls; it’s a go-to of mine that always does the trick. I'm looking to switch it up this season with other textured options inspired by the ones I saw at Givenchy, Tory Burch, and Bottega Venetta.

The Leopard Revival

I am so excited to see leopard print come back in a real way. While I’ve always considered it to be a classic, it can’t be denied that the print was all over the fall 2024 runways in a more trendy way. I’ll be digging deep into my closet to use pieces I already own—but I’m also excited about snagging a new top or two.

Sophisticated Tights

Tights are going primetime this fall, in a way that we haven’t seen in a few seasons. It’s not indie sleaze vibes (which I have no interest in revisiting after the first time), but more so a sophisticated (read: no rips) layering partner to tap shorts and chunky knit sweaters.

Ladies Who Lunch

It seemed like The Swans and the ’60s were a big inspiration for designers this fall. Since my style is decidedly more masculine, I’m going to take the accessories approach to this trend and sprinkle leather gloves, pearls, and slingback heels into my mix.
