This week’s newsletter is going to be a bit of a replay of the greatest hits, because Amazon and J.Crew are both having major sales next week. I see this as the perfect opportunity to finally buy the things you’ve been this close to purchasing or rebuy items you’ve loved. Let’s get into it.

An On-the-Fly Beauty Buy That Actually Worked

During my last marathon of work travel—three weeks throughout Europe and the US—I ran out of my go-to (very expensive) face cream and decided I should save a few bucks and try a drugstore-buy instead. I fell in love with this light-weight formula that doesn’t leave my face oily and goes a very long way.

A New Will-Never-Travel-Without Essential

I’m continuing to sing the praises of this press iron because it removed suitcase wrinkles from my shirts and pants with very little effort. But what I love most about it is how little space it takes up. Perfect if work trips are a part of your life (and you know just how annoying it is to always call down to reception for an iron and ironing board).

Three Under-$50 Belts That Will Add A Tiny Lift To Your Look

Good inexpensive belts are shockingly hard to find, but of course J.Crew has three options that I wear pretty much weekly at this point. Spotted first on Olympia Gayot, J.Crew’s creative director of women’s and kids, I bought them immediately and now pair them with skirts, trousers, shorts, and jeans.

Cashmere Socks To Buy Now and Wear Later

I can’t believe I haven’t discussed my love of these J.Crew socks yet, but according to my notes, that seems to be the case. Generally, cashmere socks can set you back hundreds of dollars, so the price of these is a win for your bank account and a win for whoever you happen to buy them for (even if that person is just you).

The Perfect Hoop Earrings

Last year journalist and author Lauren Sherman told me about a pair of hoop earrings she bought for under $20. She’d spotted cookbook author and food personality Molly Baz wearing something similar and tasked her Instagram followers with finding the best version. She ended up buying two pairs, including these cheapies from Amazon.
