13 Shockingly Chic J.Crew Items I'd Happily Gift (or Unwrap)
They're all under $250!
Friends! I don’t know about you all but I'm finally ready for the holiday season. As Mariah Carey so famously says, “It's tiiiiiiiiime”. And sure! Why not? Who doesn't love daydreaming about the glitz, sparkle, and holiday cheer that can be spread over the next month or so? Honestly, I'll take all I can get right about now, ya know?
As one would expect, my favorite part of the holiday season is getting dressed. I'm thrilled to partner with J.Crew on this newsletter because, as you all know, it's my go-to source for my wardrobe throughout the year, but especially during the holiday season. I can always find all the cashmere, sequin pieces, high heels, and jewelry I need to get me through.
I hate to bring up the desk-to-drinks dressing cliché, but over the next few weeks, it actually encompasses exactly what I need: an outfit that will make sense in the office—a crewneck sweater and a knee-length skirt— but has an extra bit of spice (make that a sequin knee-length skirt). Cowboy boots help ground the whole look, while pearl-strap pumps make the combo feel extra festive.
Right around this time, I also like to do a bit of closet evaluation, taking stock of the staples I need to refresh. My personal style doesn't change that much from winter to winter (hence the pile of navy sweaters in my closet), but I do like to take advantage of this moment in the season to do an update if necessary. Cashmere and merino sweaters in various cuts and styles top that list.
Once I'm done thinking about myself (ha!) it's time to consider those on my gifting list. J.Crew's accessories and coats make for excellent presents. I'm also a huge fan of the cashmere socks (but you guys already know that!).
