I’m Swapping My Favorite Heels for These Elegant Spring Flats
22 on-sale pairs from Nordstrom that embrace comfort without skimping on style.

My spring capsule wardrobe is rooted in comfortable pieces like plush cotton T-shirts and relaxed wide-leg jeans that feel more like sweatpants. So, it should come as no surprise that I’m favoring chic ballet flats and loafers over my usual heels this season. As luck would have it, Nordstrom's Spring Sale has everything that I’m looking for.
From now until Monday, March 24, the beloved shopping destination is offering a range of markdowns on warm-weather shoe silhouettes. While perusing the retailer’s sale section, I stumbled upon a slew of flat styles under $100, like Sam Edelman’s Mary Janes for $65, Free People’s mesh flats for $59, and Franco Sarto’s loafers for $60. And of course, I found trendy boat shoes that I can wear all summer long.
If you’re also looking to anchor your spring outfits with a cute pair of flats, scroll on. Ahead, I’ve put together a curated list of 22 styles that are so comfy you’ll want to walk around in them all day long.
Sam Edelman’s Michaela Mary Jane flats put a statement-making twist on the classic style with a playful denim exterior. Allow these shoes to do the talking by pairing them with a neutral look, like an all-white outfit.
Stitched with woven raffia, Marc Fisher LTD’s Navie slides are the perfect pair of breezy shoes. Style them however you’d like, but I recommend wearing these sandals with linen pants and a button-down top.
The fisherman aesthetic is making waves. Lean into the nautical-inspired look with these leather boat shoes designed with a braided trim along the sole.
These slingbacks have a charming appeal that’s hard to resist. I especially love the delicate pleating designed around the toe box.
Wear Katy Perry’s Evie shoes with a skirt suit for days in the office or style them with a satin slip dress for a night on the town.
Powdery pink ranks high on the spring 2025 color trends list, and you better believe this shade is here to stay for seasons to come. Give this endearing hue a try with Nordstrom’s Varly slides.
Co-signed by celebrities like Zendaya and Jennifer Lawrence, mesh flats have become a cherished trend among A-listers. Slip into Free People’s version of the style if you’re in the mood to channel your inner It girl.
For an ultra-cozy feel, consider Schutz’s Fairy sandals. They’re crafted with buttery soft leather straps and a cushioned sole, so comfort is guaranteed.
My footwear lineup is filled with dark shades, but I’m looking to brighten things up a bit. I’ll do just that with these brilliant white Mary Janes.
With a cheerful blue colorway and a textured construction, these woven ballet flats stand apart from the rest. They’ll look great peeking out beneath a pair of white jeans or a floaty maxi skirt.
At first glance, you might think Franco Sarto’s chunky loafers are black, but take a closer look and you’ll find that they’re actually covered in a deep shade of cherry red. This juicy and delectable hue is on the rise this season, so why not hop onto the color trend bandwagon?
I’ve been obsessing over designer mesh flats, but truthfully, I don’t feel like shelling out hundreds of dollars for them. That’s why I’m adding this pair from Vince to my shopping cart. They manage to look expensive without costing a pretty penny.
For those of you who aren’t partial toward pointy shoes, try Mansur Gavriel’s square-toed ballet flats. The wide silhouette offers plenty of room, so you won’t have to worry about feeling constricted.
Constructed with an open-back silhouette and a hardware-adorned upper, these hybrid slip-ons strike a balance between a mule and a loafer. Consider them your new favorite pair of sleek work shoes and thank me later.
Nothing says polished quite like pearly beads. Go for Stuart Weitzman’s Goldie flats if you’re aiming to boast an elegant attitude.
Larroude’s Ines slingbacks have been on my wishlist for a while, and now that they’ve dropped in price by almost $200, I’m snagging them ASAP. If you’d prefer to step outside of the style box, these shoes are also offered in a shimmering shade of silver.
Lately, I’ve been falling head over heels for bow-adorned shoes that embrace fashion’s treasured girlhood aesthetic. So, it goes without saying that Badgley Mischka’s knotted sandals will find a prime spot in my closet.
Fisherman sandals are gaining traction among the style crowd. Follow suit with these caged shoes from Vince. You can wear them solo or team them with a pair of white socks for a trendy edge.
Timeless and simple, cap-toe flats are the type of shoes that will hang around in your wardrobe for the long haul. At $59, this affordable version from Nine West is definitely worth the purchase.
Round out your assortment of preppy outfits with Jeffrey Campbell’s leather loafers. Embellished with topstitching details and a silver buckle, these shoes are beyond refined.
For those sweat-inducing spring days that are too hot to bear, you’ll want to reach for Dolce Vita’s woven slingbacks. The airy construction will keep you nice and cool.
If there’s one thing for certain, it’s that you can never have too many black flats. Allow Stuart Weitzman’s Emilia shoes to enhance your minimalist collection.
