30 Things Zendaya Would Probably Buy in Nordstrom's Half-Yearly Sale
From polished trench coats to sultry date-night dresses.
Stars—they’re just like us! A few days ago, Zendaya and Tom Holland visited the Topanga Mall Nordstrom alongside their dog Noon Coleman. Although I could wax poetic about their adorable pup all day long, I’m actually here to discuss the hefty shopping bag that the couple had in tow. What was in the tote? I’ll never know for sure. But given that Nordstrom’s Half-Yearly Sale is upon us, I thought it would be fun to guess what Zendaya might buy if she returns to the retailer for the biannual clearance event.
Nordstrom’s Half-Yearly Sale officially starts on Saturday, December 21 and runs through Monday, January 6. During that time, shoppers can score up to 60 percent off a range of pieces—including capsule wardrobe essentials like simple tank tops, tailored trench coats, and mesh ballet flats. Given that these styles reside in Zendaya’s coveted off-duty closet, I wouldn’t be surprised if the star has them ranked at the top of her shopping list. She also tends to favor cozy sweaters, roomy wide-leg jeans, and white sneakers, so perhaps she’d snag those items too.
Ahead, I’ve referenced Z’s go-to street style looks to curate a list of 30 items that she would likely purchase. Keep scrolling to shop like the A-lister.
Sheer Tops
While recently hosting a movie night for Challengers and Dune: Part Two, the actress played into the sheer trend with a diaphanous top that revealed a barely-there bralette.
Practical Tote Bags
If you’ve studied Zendaya’s style, you probably know that she adores her Louis Vuitton Neverfull bag. Although this designer tote is not on sale at Nordstrom, the discounted styles ahead deserve just as much praise.
Simple Tank Tops
Even the celebrities with the most extravagant wardrobes know that sometimes less is more. The star proved just that while demonstrating how to style a straightforward tank top. Apparently, all you need is a baseball cap, a pair of parachute pants, and trendy sneakers.
Snug Sweaters
Not too long ago, Zendaya stepped out for a walk while carrying a $4,100 Loewe bag. Although her luxe tote certainly stole the show, the humble sweater which she tactfully used to balance out her outfit also garnered some much-deserved recognition.
White Sneakers
It’s true that Z rarely leaves the house without her signature So Kate pumps. However, when she decides to give her heels a break, she often slides into classic white sneakers that boast a versatile appeal.
Trench Coats
While the actress’ "I TOLD YA" T-shirt caused quite the chatter, it was her tailored trench coat that I was instantly drawn to. Inspired by the spacious silhouette and perfectly stitched seams, I found a few similar styles that will help me to achieve Z’s effortlessly cool outfit.
Wide-Leg Jeans
Zendaya always seems to be ten steps ahead of the latest denim styles, so it shouldn't come as much of a shocker that she hopped on the wide-leg jeans trend this past summer. While doing so, she took an elevated approach with a sharp blazer, a Louis Vuitton Diane bag, and of course, her So Kate heels.
Mesh Ballet Flats
Although once considered an unconventional shoe, the polarizing mesh ballet flat soon transformed into an everyday staple among the fashion set. Ask Zendaya and she’ll tell you that she’s a loyal wearer of Bottega Veneta’s Atomic Mesh Knit Ballet Flats.
Sultry Dresses
No one does date-night dressing quite like Zendaya and Tom Holland. While out and about in New York City, the duo embraced the viral burgundy color trend. Holland chose a casual tee-and-pants pairing, while Z showcased a figure-hugging dress.
Black Pants
When she’s not posing on the red carpet for a photocall, Zendaya usually champions streamlined staples that are easy to style. Among her collection are black pants, which she recently wore with Birkenstocks and a Louis Vuitton handbag.
