The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Is the Best It's Ever Been

If you can feel the excitement through your computer screen it's because the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is back, and I'm practically buzzing as I'm writing this story. When I was younger, this once-a-year sale was my time to stock up on back-to-school looks, but now that I'm an adult, I'm treating myself to a new wardrobe just because I can. Fellow editor Lauren K. Tappan and I had a chance to peruse the sale in-store and came home with pieces from Frame, Rag & Bone, and Vince (brands that rarely see a discount, mind you). Below, you can shop three of her favorite looks from our Nordstrom visit and additional favorites that will sell out if you don't act fast. Make haste, fellow Nordstrom lovers. The sale is officially on.
"Tailored vests are having a moment this season, so I've decided to play into the look with this sophisticated piece from Open Edit. Given its striking shade of cobalt blue, this top makes quite a statement on its own, so I decided to team it with bottoms that have a subdued vibe. Vince's wide-leg cargo pants fit the bill with a neutral hue and an uncomplicated silhouette. I'll likely slip into this outfit for a casual day in the office, and I'll accessorize with gold jewelry, a pair of black slide sandals, and a trusty laptop bag to match." — Lauren K. "During the summertime, I often gravitate toward streamlined outfit formulas that are easy to style. With this in mind, I paired BP's Butter Rib Square Neck Bodysuit with Frame's Le Super Flare High Waist Jeans and topped off the look with Rag & Bone's Knit Stripe Long Sleeve Polo. I intentionally added this striped layer to the mix to give my outfit a bit of dimension. (Plus, it'll keep me nice and warm just in case temperatures decide to dip.) I can easily see myself wearing this look for any laid-back weekend outing, like a lunch with friends or even a visit to my local farmers' market." — Tappan

"Frame is renowned for its denim selection, but did you know that the label offers a variety of other pieces like slip skirts, button-down shirts, and dresses? I was able to find all that and more while shopping at Nordstrom. After discovering Frame's navy A-line midi dress, I immediately added it to my shopping cart. There are many things to love about this piece, but I'm particularly drawn to the gathered seams, ruffled tiers, and asymmetrical hemline. Whether I'm heading to an alfresco dinner or grabbing happy hour drinks with my co-workers, I plan to wear this dress all summer long." — Tappan
