Royally Dressed: Kate Middleton's Best Baby Bump Looks
We look back on some of the best looks from the Duchess of Cambridge's pregnancy.

It's been quite a run, but sadly, today was Kate Middleton's last solo public appearance before the start of her maternity leave, leading up to the much-anticipated birth of the future heir in July. Of course, just as exciting as the pregnancy itself was seeing how the Duchess of Cambridge dressed up her growing bump. From casual dresses to colored coats, Kate's pregnancy style proved just as captivating as usual. Check out some of MC's favorite looks below:
After being admitted to the hospital for hyperemesis gravidarum (acute morning sickness), Kate was released from a London hospital clad in a baby blue scarf and plaid coat alongside her baby daddy as the paps went wild for a glimpse of the finally pregnant Royal.
After canceling a few appearances over the holiday season to recuperate, Kate was back on the public appearance track as she visited the Hope House in London on February 19 to support the charity Action on Addiction. Coat-free, she wore a figure-hugging gray jersey dress from MaxMara that gave us a peek of a barely there bump.
Two weeks later in Grimsby, a coastal town in Northern England, Kate sported a brown coat from Hobbs (a recycled piece), cinched at the waist with a brown belt. However, it wasn't Kate's clothes that left people buzzing after this event — she reportedly said "I'll give it to my d-", after a spectator gave her a teddy bear, leading many to jump to the conclusion that the Duchess was carrying a little Princess.
Kate recycled her St. Patricks Day ensemble, a green Emilia Wickstead coat, from 2012 for another visit to the Mons Barracks in Aldershot, just outside of London. This time, she wore a black turtleneck and black tights underneath the emerald hue outerwear. She met soldiers and their families during the event and reportedly told a soldier's wife that she is hoping for a boy, while Will is wishing for a girl.
We finally got to see a full-on baby bump on display — for real — when the Duchess attended a reception at the National Portrait Gallery in London on April 24. She wore a shimmering baby blue Emilia Wickstead dress that framed her newly blossomed bump perfectly. Obsessed!
A few days later, Kate showed just how budget-savvy she be in a polka dot printed dress from the popular British chain Topshop when she joined husband Will and brother-in-law Harry at at tour of the Harry Potter Studios. As expected, the dress (both the maternity and non-maternity version) sold out that day.

In her final solo pregnant appearance, Kate wore a white and black animal print coat. While the print is fun and differs from Kate's usual solid-color coats, the real kicker here is that she's in her eighth month of pregnancy and her coat is non-maternity. In fact, Kate looks as if her pre-baby physique is almost fully intact—except the bump. Some women have all the luck.
