It's Happening: Isabel Marant for H&M
Isabel Marant is the next designer to collaborate on a collection with H&M.
We know what you're thinking. Another day, another fashion collaboration, right? Well, we think you'll change your tune when you hear about latest partnership that was just announced by retail giant H&M: The global fast-fashion brand is officially releasing a lower-priced collection by the legendary French designer Isabel Marant. The woman who singlehandedly launched the wedge sneaker trend and has girls all over the world attempting to achieve that Parisian insouciance that defines her look will create clothing and accessories for women and teenagers — as well as her very first collection of menswear — for H&M.
Fans of Marant's eponymous label and diffusion line Étoile, have no fear: The essence of her bohemian style is a key element of her collection for H&M, and she plans to create pieces that make up an ideal wardrobe that you can do a lot with. She said in a press release, "I aim at creating something real—something women want to wear in their everyday lives—with a certain carefree style. I think this is very Parisian: You dress up, but don't pay too much attention to it, and you still look sexy. The collection is infused with this kind of easiness and attitude."
The collection will be available online and in 250 stores worldwide on November 14th, 2013, and you can watch a video interview with Marant about her H&M collection below. Isn't she the coolest?
