Big Girl in a Skinny World: The Latest Plus-Size Options
While I know we plus-size girls havent had many wardrobe options in the past, theres no denying that there has been a noticeable increase in chic, affordable options in our sizes.
Hello Ladies,
I'm still in California soaking up the perfect weather: it's a cool 65 degrees and sunny, sunny, sunny. My outfits have taken me from meetings to a photo shoot to happy hour cocktails. I am living proof that a versatile wardrobe can be achieved at any size! While I know firsthand we plus-size girls haven't had many wardrobe options in the past, there's no denying that there has been a noticeable increase in chic, affordable options in our sizes.
ASOS Curve is one of my favorite new lines. I know I've mentioned it before. They really have it figured out. ASOS has a straight size line, but for those wavering between a size 12 on a good day and a 16 every other day—be forewarned. ASOS is based in the UK, which can make returns a pricey proposition. But with the recent launch of ASOS Curve, I have found it much easier to shop from this UK big girl destination.
Here are some of my favorite items from the current line: The Draped Grecian Slinky Top is a trendy, drapey option, perfect for pairing with a great pair of black skinny jeans. Another must-have piece is the Abstract Feather Shoulder Dress, with an all-over graphic print, a one shoulder style dress that will flatter (and draw attention away from) problem areas. The Lace Up Mac Trench is a classic. If you don't already own a trench, bust out your credit card now and get shopping! It's the kind of basic you'll wear to death—I promise. I'll be ordering mine as soon as I submit this post!
Check out ASOS.com and tell me what you think. What are your favorite pieces from the line? Let me know!
