For the latest installment of its photo series, New Zealand brand Lonely—of the lacy, strappy underpinnings so pretty you'd suck it up and hand-wash them—has enlisted the Girls stars to pose in all their real, natural glory.
"Each of the women who participate in this project is empowered because they are not objectified; they are part of a conversation that disrupts paradigms around the way lingerie is typically presented," the label said. "Giving a glimpse into their worlds, we hope, amplifies this conversation and makes us all feel a little more liberated and comfortable in our own underwear."
Hear, hear. So where can you get some male-gaze-defying bras and knickers of your own? Dunham is wearing the Penny bra and panty and Kirke is in the Bonnie bra and panty. Run, don't walk.
