2025's Extroverted Loud Luxury Trend Is Overflowing With Shoppable Accessories
Albeit maximal, these styles are surprisingly wearable.
In late 2024, I heard some chatter about the rise of loud luxury. Fashion insiders claimed that quiet luxury was out in favor of much louder statement styles defined by striking colors, eye-catching patterns, and in-your-face logos. In 2025, loud luxury isn’t quieting down—and the many maximal accessories on the Spring 2025 runways serve as visual evidence.
At Gucci, Sabato De Sarno showcased a croc-embossed handbag drenched in a viral shade of cherry red. On Chanel’s catwalk, rich-looking outfits were enhanced with earrings, necklaces, and bracelets emblazoned with the brand’s “double C” logo. Meanwhile, Bottega Veneta revealed a pair of sculptural kitten heels that made jaws drop. Other attention-grabbing extras—like unconventional belts, printed headscarves, broad-brimmed sun hats, and supersized sunglasses—also permeated top-tier collections.
According to the widely followed Instagram account Data, But Make it Fashion, brands like Dolce & Gabbana and Versace have spiked in popularity by over 40 percent, signaling a high demand for designer labels that champion a loud luxury aesthetic. Celebrities like Hailey Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, and Taylor Swift have embraced the lavish trend, drenching themselves in leopard-printtote bags and high-octane timepieces that cost more than a mortgage.
Although the quieter side of luxury won't go extinct—minimalist capsule wardrobe staples will always have an enduring appeal—there’s something to say about pieces that command attention and encourage unapologetic personal style.
Loud Luxury Handbags
During the Spring 2025 fashion month circuit, brands demonstrated that the easiest way to steal the spotlight is by toting a vibrant designer handbag. Gucci and Bottega Veneta favored not-so-subtle pops of red, Prada flaunted fierce animal prints, and Louis Vuitton and Valentino embraced logomania. Whichever style you choose, you’re guaranteed to make onlookers stop and stare.
Loud Luxury Jewelry
If you’re in the mood to enliven your assortment of jewelry, draw inspiration from Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balmain, Acne Studios, and Chanel. From '80s-inspired earrings and necklaces to chunky charm bracelets, these pieces offer a sure-fire way to help you step outside of the style box without getting too costume-y.
Loud Luxury Shoes
This season, designers are leveling up their footwear lineups with whimsical twists. Fendi and Balmain decorated their heels with scintillating embellishments and Bottega Veneta anchored a pair of mules with curved heels. As for playful upgrades on trending shoe styles, Miu Miu elevated a pair of loafers with block heels and Chloé reimagined ballet flats with intricate laces.
Loud Luxury Hats and Headscarves
With the right headwear, you can pull together just about any uniform. Follow Valentino and Gucci’s lead with sweeping sun hats that can work well alongside a variety of beach outfits. You could also opt for a crochet cap à la Giorgio Armani or a sumptuous satin scarf similar to Ralph Lauren’s classic paisley bandana.
Loud Luxury Belts
There’s nothing subtle about the slew of belts seen across the Spring 2025 runways. Chanel and Bally presented leather options stamped with radiant metal hardware while Balmain ditched leather altogether for wide gold waistbands. On the other hand, Ralph Lauren took its collection to a whole new level by co-singing the double-belt trend.
Loud Luxury Sunglasses
This season, sunglasses with itsy-bitsy frames weren’t on the menu. Instead, designers served up shades crafted with oversized silhouettes. Fendi and Gucci covered their versions with saturated hues, while Saint Laurent, Chanel, and Giorgio Armani stuck with neutral tones that felt just as elaborate. Below, shield your face with similar styles.
