Emily Blunt's Cuyana Tote Is Already an Editor Must-Have
It's a classic.
Nothing makes my job as a fashion editor easier than seeing a celebrity I love carrying a piece I’m already obsessed with. Such is the case with Emily Blunt and her Cuyana Mini System tote.
Blunt, who is currently promoting her action-rom-com hybrid film The Fall Guy, was photographed outside a taping for Jimmy Kimmel Live! in Los Angeles on Monday, April 29. Naturally, the Oscar nominee and her longtime stylist, Jessica Paster, cooked up the easiest outfit for the pitstop at her longtime friend's late-night show.
The Brooklyn resident wore a very New York City-feeling all-black ensemble comprised of a Louis Vuitton turtleneck and satin trousers by Stella McCartney. She accessorized with Cuyana’s Mini System Tote in the mini croc-printed variation, black-and-white Nike sneakers, and a pair of slender black sunglasses from Celine. The only break in the all-black outfit formula came courtesy of the gold eyeglass chain dangling off her ear.
Blunt's bag comes in several neutral hues, like a "Cappuccino" brown and a stone gray, and in two fabrications: sturdy pebbled leather and the glossy croc-printed iteration. While normally worn as a shoulder bag, Blunt opted instead to carry it on the thick crossbody strap, embodying every bit the cool New York mom-on-the-go.
Cuyana has long been a go-to for its sleek, minimalist (dare we say quiet luxury?) work bags and accessories. The selection of System Totes has gained cult-fame status because they're endlessly customizable. The brand sells a range of made-to-measure accessories, and you can just as easily slot your own baggies inside for extra organization.
Some bags in the range are large enough to double as a laptop-friendly tote, while Blunt's is great for weekend wear.
Currently retailing for $328, it makes the perfect splurge-worthy, stylish Mother's Day gift if you're the kind of person who shops early—or if you're buying it for someone who is constantly zipping from place to place.
