Gorjana & Griffin Collaborates with Damsel in Dior's Jacey Duprie
Check out a sneak peek at this jewelry collaboration for a cause.
Gorjana & Griffin has partnered with Los Angeles-based fashion blogger Jacey Duprie, behind the hit site Damsel in Dior, to create a twenty-six piece capsule collection for the Gorjana brand. Joining as a guest designer, Duprie worked hand-in-hand with company president and creative director, Gorjana Reidel, to create a collection that includes jewelry and handbags.
The collaboration also features a philanthropic cause. Four pieces were designed specifically for Project Biashara. Part of the New Hope Initiative, Project Biashara was founded in 2009 for women living in Kibera to earn an income and provide for their families. The Baird hope cuff and Baird hope ring, pictured below, will directly benefit Project Biashara, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the cause.
"Partnering up with Gorjana was a natural fit for me, because the brand so easily aligns with my personal style and reflects my bi-coastal life," Duprie said exclusively to MarieClaire.com. "I drew inspiration for this collection from the people in my life who I admire most, from my Mother to the women in Kenya, as well as the places I often visit that touch me in a moving way such as the High Line in NYC."
Reidel echoed Duprie's sentiment. "Jacey's natural fashion prowess and classic, yet on-trend design aesthetic perfectly complements the gorjana brand," she said. "She is a truly talented designer and we are certain that gorjana fans will love the new collection."
The capsule collection launches exclusively at www.gorjana-griffin.com on Tuesday, September 17th, 2013. Take a peek at some styles below.
