What I Wear on Repeat: My Tory Sport Track Pants
They have the comfort of sweats, but look 10x more elevated.
In our biweekly series, editors share the item so versatile, so chic, so comfortable that they wear it over and over and over again—whether it be a basic white tee or a super-trendy jumpsuit. Prepare yourself (and your credit card) for some guilt-free shopping.
At least once a week, I find a new reason to "dress up," a.k.a. take off the sweatpants I've been living in for two consecutive days and throw on some jeans and mascara. My confidence doubles when I'm wearing an outfit I feel great in, but the look also has to be comfy and chic. This is where my Tory Sport track pants come in. I had been eyeing these beauties for a while, so one day I finally gave in and ordered them online. I'm so glad I did.
I've been a Tory Burch stan for some time. I purchased my first purse from them for my 20th birthday (gift wrapped with a note to myself). I carry that leather bucket bag to this day and, six years later, it still holds up well! Though the Tory purse was always a staple in my wardrobe, I never considered the brand's clothes until I tried a Tory Burch sweater from Rent the Runway a few months back. (If you haven't already guessed, I was sold on it.)
My favorite thing about this brand is that the clothes are true to size. I almost never purchase pants online because, with a curvy figure, fit is an issue. (I usually opt for a size large in most pieces, but my ass is a true XL—and I love it, BTW!) I eventually took a chance on the track pants (love a good return policy) and the fit turned out to be a dream. These sporty pants hug my butt and accentuate my waist. As they flow downwards, they give my legs the appearance of being longer, and I feel like a '70s queen. I wouldn't describe myself as super sporty (more like sport-adjacent), but these athleisure bottoms are just my style. And now I have a reason to change out of my usual leggings-and-sweatshirt ensembles.
I love the feminine ruffles on the side of the pants and the option to unsnap a few of the side buttons if I'm getting a little hot, too. They are my work-from-home, errand-running, and couch-lounging go-to pants. I usually pair these with a flowy top or a sweater if the air conditioning is running on high. I have yet to wear them in a "workout" scene, but we are getting there! (Like I said, I'm sporty now.) If you're looking for a comfortable pair of pants that is a step up (okay, a few steps up) from sweats, Tory Sport pants are a good investment. And, my exact track pants are on sale right now!
