These Are the Only 2025 Denim Trends Worth Investing In

I found them on sale for less than $200.

I’ve fallen deeply in love with the latest 2025 denim trends. Why? Well, I’m a self-proclaimed minimalist, and these viral twill-woven styles embrace an uncomplicated attitude that makes my heart sing.

On the runways, designers like Bally and OpéraSPORT championed straight-leg and wide-leg silhouettes while labels including Tommy Hilfiger showcased classic denim maxi skirts. Even controversial styles—like Bermuda shorts and Canadian tuxedos—were assembled in approachable ways. More than anything, this season’s denim trends proved themselves to be practical and actually wearable.

Inspired to test-drive these styles, I scoured a range of retailers and found everything I could possibly need at Nordstrom and Shopbop. Not to mention, both brands are offering up to 70 percent off select items right now. If you don’t believe me, scroll on to find an assortment of other discounted pieces—all under $200.

Straight-Leg Jeans

Bally conveyed the “less is more” message with a pair of straight-leg jeans styled beside a ladylike cardigan.

Ah, straight-leg jeans. They’re the wardrobe heroes of the denim world, and thankfully, they’re not going anywhere this year. Bally, Coach, and Moschino proved my point by showcasing these perennial pants across their respective runways. Invest in a pair now, and you’ll have them for years.

Denim-on-Denim Outfits

Follow Acne Studios’s lead and channel your inner cowgirl with a Western-inspired Canadian tuxedo. If you need denim-on-denim outfit inspiration, take notes from stylish A-listers like Katie Holmes and Bella Hadid who have been wearing this matchy-matchy look on repeat.

Denim Maxi Skirts

Across the Spring 2025 catwalks, brands like Etro, Michael Kors, and Versace ditched skin-tight mini skirts for lengthy maxi skirts drenched in denim. Follow suit with the options below—some keep it simple with streamlined constructions while others feature playful touches like front slits and side pockets.

Bermuda Shorts

During OpéraSPORT’s latest runway show, a pair of Bermuda shorts stole the spotlight.

Believe it or not, Bermuda shorts are back—at least according to OpéraSPORT, Zimmermann, and a slew of other designers. While these bottoms are indeed cropped, there are plenty of ways to style them during the colder months. Just look toward Charli XCX, who recently wore them with a fuzzy fur coat and lofty knee-high boots.

Wide-Leg Jeans

It appears as though Tommy Hilfiger supports the “baggier is better” style memo.

Take a peek into the Spring 2025 collections of Tommy Hilfiger, Dior, and Sacai, and you’ll find billowing baggy jeans. However, these bottoms didn’t boast slouchy structures. Instead, they were stitched with trouser-like silhouettes that seemed surprisingly sophisticated.
