Sarah Silverman Made 83% Less Than Her Male Colleague, Is Fighting Back in the Best Way
And she wants you to do the same thing.
April 14 is National Equal Pay Day (but you already know that and have planned a party and stuff, right?) and Sarah Silverman has made an awesome new video to support Levo's Ask4More campaign.
"He got sixty dollars, and I got ten dollars...we did the exact same time back-to-back at the same show," she said of learning that a male colleague was making more for the same work. "It's pretty shitty."
"I think the best person for the job should get jobs," she continued. "I'm all for women having to work harder to prove themselves at this juncture, if that's the way it is in the world. But if you work a job, and a man is working the same job, you should be getting paid the same."
