Orion Carloto (and Her Cat!) Show Us Her Bookshelf in 'Shelf Portrait'
She's one of those people who give away books to their friends!
Orion Carloto, poet and author of Flux and Film for Her, has no shortage of reading material from magazines to prose to fiction, as shown in Marie Claire's latest episode of Shelf Portrait, where celebrities, influencers, and famous bookworms invite us inside their homes to show off their personal libraries.
In the video, Carloto reveals she's one of those people who frequently give away their books to their friends, so a lot of her favorites aren't currently on her shelf. Still, she shares that she loves The Wisdom of Insecurity by Alan W. Watts and Ottessa Moshfegh's My Year of Rest and Relaxation, which has been a favorite during quarantine, along with Ocean Vuong's On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous. Ultimately, her favorite genre is books by French poets and she loves writers like Maggie Nelson (see: Bluets) and Patti Smith (see: The Coral Sea).
