Game of Thrones Season 3 Premiere: The Ladies' Red Carpet Looks
Last night, the cast of Game of Thrones killed it on the red carpet. And not to worry: All swords, lances, and dragon eggs remained back on the show, which premieres March 31 on HBO.
We have to admit, we're always a little confused to see our favorite Game of Thrones stunners without their ornate costumes, hair, and makeup to which we've grown accustomed while watching the show. We always do a double-take of Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), who's actually a brunette, and who knew that Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) favors dainty, floral numbers over her character's signature tomboy style? Last night, the cast of Game of Thrones killed it on the red carpet at its highly anticipated Season 3 premiere in Hollywood. And not to worry: All swords, lances, and dragon eggs remained back on the show, which premieres March 31 on HBO.
Emilia Clarke
Our favorite Dragon Queen worked the red carpet after flying in from New York, where she is soon to make her Broadway debut as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's. Clarke, a far cry from her platinum-haired Game of Thrones alter ego, donned a body-hugging Victoria Beckham dress alongside gorgeously simple hair and makeup. Our little Dany is all grown up!
Maisie Williams
Who cares if Williams' Game of Thrones character Arya Stark wouldn't caught be dead in this adorable tea dress? The 15-year-old remained perfectly elegant and age-appropriate with a simple up-do, killer red heels, and a powder blue mani.
Natalie Dormer
Dormer, who plays the intelligent and politically-minded Margaery Tyrell, put aside her characters heavy gowns for a light Roland Mouret frock from the Spring 2013 collection. Green was the perfect shade to wear against her porcelain skin, not to mention her excellently executed orange lip.
Sophie Turner
Turner looked stunning in a classic, rosette-embellished dress that would have made queen-to-be Sansa Stark quite proud. We're happy the black gown showcased the actress' signature red locks, too.
