Karlie Kloss is a wunderkind. At the age of 24, she's a hugely successful model, dabbles in programming, has her own coding scholarship, and is a role model to girls everywhere (much like her bestie Taylor Swift).

Somehow, amidst all that, she finds time to do some interior decorating, and she's newly partnered with eBay to curate her apartment must-haves. She's also taking to social media to ask *you* what she needs to add to her home, so take the chance to weigh in. (Plus, you might just win it.) Watch the video below, then read on for Kloss' favorite home touches, what she spent her first paycheck on, and the biggest mistake young people make while decorating.

MC: How would you describe your home decorating style?

KK: I typically go for a more classic aesthetic, though I like to contrast that with bold statement pieces throughout my house. I also like to add personal touches to my decorating style, including photographs and nostalgic items that remind me of family and home.

MC: What colors do you gravitate towards?

KK: I tend to gravitate towards neutrals in my home but also love finding interesting fabrics or pieces that add a pop of color. An entire wall in my home is covered with framed pictures of my family and friends. It's nice to go home after a long week of traveling for work and be reminded of memories with the people I love.

MC: Have you gotten any tips from your friends on decorating your place?

KK: The places I've travelled and cultures I've experienced have been reflected in my home decor choices. I've also enjoyed hearing from the Klossy community about what they're loving right now in home and tech. I'm inspired by looks I see on social media and I thought it would be great to ask you all to help me shop for the coolest and most coveted things at Twitter.com/eBay.

When it comes to designing your first apartment, I think people get overwhelmed and end up collecting pieces that don't always mesh well together.

MC: What do you think is the biggest mistake people—especially young people—make when decorating their apartment for the first time?

KK: Rushing the process! When it comes to designing your first apartment, I think people get overwhelmed and end up collecting pieces that don't always mesh well together because they don't have a clear vision. Take your time and use tools that can help inspire and guide you through the process.

MC: What are some of your favorite items on your curated list?

KK: I'm currently shopping for fall and dreaming about baking season! Some of my favorite new fall-inspired items from eBay include a baking sheet, a new Pendleton blanket for the living room, a TV for movie nights and of course boots, sweaters, and outerwear for when it starts to cool down.

MC: What about what's in your home currently—what's your favorite thing?

KK: I have a red Kitchen Aid mixer I bought with my very first modeling paycheck. I use it to bake cookies, especially in the fall and winter. It always reminds me of my grandmother and the hours we spent baking together when I was a kid.

MC: Do you have a favorite piece of art in your home?

KK: I have this beautiful black and white print from my first shoot with Arthur Elgort. It's one of my favorite and most special items. I also love shopping for pieces from eBay's selection of art and collectibles. You don't need to bid for it, you can just select and purchase.

MC: What makes the biggest impact in a room?

KK: I love indoor plants. It makes any room feel open, fresh and homey. Keeping them alive is always a fun challenge for me! [laughs]

MC: What's your style mantra?

KK: I travel a lot, so I keep my look simple. My home décor style is pretty similar. I try to make it inviting, homey, and comfortable, with some special and personal pieces throughout.
