How do you say "congratulations" in French?! Lily Collins, star of Netflix's upcoming series Emily in Paris, announced on Friday that she is officially engaged to Charlie McDowell. The actress shared the happy news on social media, posting several of the outdoor proposal to her Instagram feed. “I’ve been waiting my lifetime for you and I can’t wait to spend our lifetime together...” Collins captioned pictures which also gave fans a look at her new diamond ring. (The sparkler appears to be a pink-hued stone set on a thin gold band.)

Who is Charlie McDowell?
While Collins has become a household name thanks to her work in films like The Blind Side, Mirror Mirror, and To the Bone—and, of course, being the daughter of Jill Tavelman and famed musician Phil Collins—McDowell is less of well-known celebrity. But the writer/director actually also comes from a famous family: his dad is Golden Globe-nominated actor Malcolm McDowell; his mom is Academy award-winning actress Mary Steenburgen; and his stepdad is Ted Danson—yes, from Cheers and The Good Place!
The 37-year-old has become known in Hollywood for his hilarious Twitter feed as well as for films like The One I Love and The Discovery. He's also directed episodes of several buzzy shows from Silicon Valley to Dear White People to Legion to On Becoming a God in Central Florida. He even has his own production company, Cloudbreak Productions.
McDowell has been previously linked to Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke as well as actress Rooney Mara.
