Hair can make an outfit. An updo will complement a backless dress, and a pin-straight, high ponytail pairs well with a skin-tight number. But if you’re Selma Blair, hair quite literally is the outfit. Case in point: The actress just arrived at the Schiaparelli Couture fashion show in Paris wearing a necktie made of braided, platinum-blonde hair.

Yes, you read that correctly. The Cruel Intentions star secured a foot-long, three-strand braid to the top of her crisp white button-down, making it the focal point of her front row outfit. Such an out-of-box use of extensions is the brainchild of Schiaparelli creative director Daniel Roseberry. Blair’s exact oversized suit and matching hair-made necktie were shown on the runway weeks ago, during the Fall 2025 runway presentation in March.

However, the actor took the peculiar accessory a step further, choosing to match her own hair identically to the outfit’s primary accessory. London-based hairstylist Paul Jones made sure the color match was perfect and emulated the necktie design down Blair’s back. Her hair, which was lengthened by a hefty number of extensions, was secured into a messy three-strand braid. The front pieces were slightly curled to frame her face.

Jones has worked with Blair throughout Paris couture week, styling her bleached hair in long, beachy curls for the AMI Alexandre Mattiussi fashion show and her 52nd birthday celebrations.

The actress’s makeup, completed by Kelly Cornwell, played in the smoky brown family, emphasizing her eyes. Her lips were painted a neutral pinky-peach, and her skin was kept fairly subtle, accented with blush.

Once ushered inside, Blair took her seat in the front row, sandwiched between Kylie Jenner and Annitta. The former wore a sparkly pink corset gown and the latter a black and white dress. Now, if only we knew what this trio was chatting about.
