These Never-Before-Seen Beauty Sets Are the Reason I Shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
I'd bookmark this.
There are myriad reasons to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Of course, it's the best time to score unbelievable fashion and beauty deals from top brands, some of which never go on sale (at least not to this degree). The beauty section alone is especially on point this year, and I'm not just saying that as a biased beauty editor! It's loaded with editor-loved brands like Westman Atelier, Nécessaire, Dior, and more. I could wax poetic about how many of my personal favorites have made it onto the page.
However—and this is the best part—these beauty brands don't just offer one-off items at impressive discounts. Many actually create limited-edition sets just for this legendary event, so you can get the most bang for your buck. I'm talking about custom collections of two, three, or even more of their beloved hero products—never before seen and never to be seen again once the Nordstrom sale concludes on August 4.
They are so, so good, and I don't expect them to stay in stock for very long. Take a peek at the 13 sets I'm personally eyeing below, so you know *exactly* what to add to your cart. Happy shopping!
You won't find a beauty editor who doesn't have at least one Byredo perfume in their personal collection. In fact, it's more likely you'll find a beauty editor who has multiple. This set includes three of the brand's most iconic fragrances, all packaged in adorable mini bottles that are basically begging to be placed atop your vanity. There's Bal d'Afrique, which is a floral fragrance; Mojave Ghost, which is a woody and aromatic scent; and Gypsy Water, which is a woody and aquatic one.
As a beauty editor, I don't mess around when it comes to designer skincare. That's why I'm snagging this four-piece skincare set while I still can. It includes the brand's Capture Totale products—all of which are formulated to reduce signs of aging and refresh maturing skin. There's the Totale Intensive Essence Lotion, which is a liquid lotion that plumps the skin. There's the Anti-Aging Serum that smoothes wrinkles, pores, and unevenness. There's the Super Potent Eye Serum, which reduces the appearance of dark circles. Finally, there's the Totale Firming & Wrinkle-Correcting Cream, which smoothes the skin and treats fine lines and wrinkles. Oh, did I mention it comes in a chic white pouch complete with the Dior emblem?
With tropical notes of coconut milk, solar musk, banana, and pineapple, Vacation's cult-favorite perfume is summer vacation in a bottle. Shoppers love it so much that they've been begging for a larger-size version, and the brand has finally answered those pleas with a Nordstrom-exclusive 50ml size, along with the brand's equally beloved shimmering SPF 30 body oil. WWW associate beauty editor Shawna Hudson once said the luminous formula makes her into a human disco ball. If that endorsement doesn't make you want to snag the pair, I don't know what will.
Westman Atelier is known for products that deliver a natural-looking flush—like you just went for a brisk jog or came back from a sunny getaway. The Baby Cheeks Blush Stick is the workhorse of that healthy glow (it's a best seller), but the bronze Liquid Super Loaded Illuminator Drops elevate the lit-from-within look. I like to apply it as the first step of my makeup routine before any foundation or concealer, and it makes my skin look so fresh and dewy. The highlighter stick is the cherry on top for extra radiance. (I like to swipe it on my eyelids, too.) Think of this trio as a full-face-in-one discounted set.
I go through these Nécessaire bodywashes at warp speed—especially during summer, when simply stepping out of my NYC apartment leaves me dripping in sweat. The eucalyptus scent makes me feel instantly at ease and refreshed, and for just a sweet moment, I'm transported to a lush spa. You better believe I'll be snagging this duo of full-size bottles!
Dr. Barbara Sturm's famous Hyaluronic Serum costs $325 on its own. Is that wildly expensive for HA? Absolutely. Is it worth it? I'd say 100%. My skin never looked more plump and hydrated than after finishing my first bottle—and for those looking for some extra radiance, the brand's Glow Drops deliver such a pretty flush. The Glow Drops alone are $160, so buying this set is essentially like getting a BOGO deal.
Augustinus Bader's eye cream is another expensive standalone well worth the steep price tag. I'm genetically prone to bags and dark shadows, but my under-eyes have never looked smoother since incorporating it into my routine. The accompanying eye patches certainly don't hurt, which deflate my morning puffiness in seconds (and look so chic, by the way).
Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen is the ultimate editor favorite (just take a look at our sunscreen Deep Review!), beloved so much that the brand decided to create a jumbo-size version of the cult classic. The stick version, however, is such a sleeper hit. It makes sunscreen reapplication an absolute breeze without ever smearing your makeup. In fact, it also somehow reduces excess oil on your skin. Magic!
Four La Mer essentials for $415 is such a steal. I mean, the Eye Concentrate alone is $275, and the Lifting and Firming Serum is tagged at $435! They are smaller here in the kit, but not by much—the cost per ounce is still unbelievable. This is another one I predict will be gone in a flash.
As someone with sensitive, wimpy brows, I'm always looking for a potent brow serum that A) actually works and B) doesn't irritate the skin. This peptide-infused formula ticks both boxes—and it's a two-for-one deal! WWW associate beauty editor Kaitlyn McLintock also counts herself a superfan. "I quite literally had to stop using it only a month or so in due to how fast and furious my previously stagnant brow hairs were growing," she gushes. That is my dream scenario, TBH, so I'll surely be copping this set.
The Oribe Gold Lust line of haircare and styling products is beloved by beauty editors and hairstylists alike. This set includes the Gold Lust Repair & Restore Shampoo and Conditioner in both full and travel sizes, so it's perfect for placing in your shower at home as well as packing in your carry-on. The damage-erasing formulas will soften, smooth, and moisturize dry strands, all while leaving behind a luxe, salon-worthy scent.
In need of a new lip combo? Well, what if I told you that MAC Cosmetics will do all the work for you with this three-piece lip kit? It contains a lip liner, lipstick, and lip gloss in the brand's ever-iconic shade, Ruby Woo. It's the perfect blue-toned red.
Here's another lip kit that's equally as iconic—Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow Talk Lip Kit. It includes the brand's internet-famous pink-mauve lipstick, in both the cream and liquid formulas, as well as a matching lip liner.
