This Glow-in-the-Dark Dye Job Is Breaking the Internet

It's black light time.

Over the past few years, we've seen more than our fair share of rainbow dye jobs (there's sand arttie-dyehidden rainbow, and galaxy hair to name a few). Before today, we'd have even gone so far as to say we'd seen it all. Ha!

The latest technicolor trend that has Instagram double tapping, and subsequently jumping on its bandwagon, is Phoenix Hair. And trust us when we tell you, it's no ordinary burst of vibrant shades...

Created by celebrity hairstylist Guy Tang (the man behind many a new trend), the high-octane dye job is a dimensional swirl of orange, red, yellow, and purple neon pigment that...wait for it...glows in the dark. Think Lisa Frank goes raver chick.

To achieve the black-light-ready look, Tang used Kenra Professionals Color Creative Neon Collection, letting the color transition from "fuchsia" to a "fiery concoction."

And while the color itself is gorgeous, there's also the powerful, rise-from-the ashes energy attached to the Phoenix. Seems pretty fitting for the times, ay?

As our last Harry Potter marathon reminded us, a phoenix periodically bursts into flames and regenerate itself. So does that make grow out a non-issue? We kid.
