Hailey Bieber’s “Strawberry Shortcake” Makeup Routine Requires 12 Pretty and Pink Products

It's not short, but it's sweet.

When Hailey Bieber declares a beauty trend, it’s only a matter of time before her go-to products start selling out. Might I remind you of the chrome nail polish shortage last summer? Or her "peachy beachy" summer makeup just days ago? That in mind, allow me to introduce the Rhode founder’s latest makeup regimen, which she has officially—and aptly—dubbed “strawberry shortcake” makeup.

The model’s most up-to-date routine was shared via TikTok and is, just like a strawberry shortcake, layered and pink. The summer beat is pretty simple, even though you need 12 makeup products to execute the entire look.

Complexion products come first. Bieber is a believer in makeup artist Mary Phillips’s underpainting technique, so she contours and conceals before applying foundation. If you want to follow her selection exactly, you’ll need the Dolce Glow’s Contour Self-Tanning Sculpt and Glow. “It isn’t just a bronzing wand—it bronzes and has self-tanner,” the soon-to-be mom previously shared in a YouTube video. Then, use some Kosas Revealer Concealer and a small pump of Chanel Les Beiges Foundation.

Once that’s all said and done, add a bit of color to your complexion. Now, given that Rhode just dropped six shades of blush (and Marie Claire editors endorsed the product in our Pocket Blush review earlier this month!), it’s no surprise that Bieber goes heavy on the rosy tones. She uses what appears to be shades Piggy and Juice Box on the apples of her cheeks, one stacked on top of the other. A little bronzer and highlighter come into play too, courtesy of Tom Ford’s Shade & Illuminate Palette.

Fast forward through brow gel, mascara, a little setting powder, and some faux freckles, and Bieber shares her four-product lip combo. She starts off by using what appears to be an unlabeled eyeshadow pencil (could it be a Rhode lab sample?!) as a lip liner. It has plum undertones that play nicely with her go-to MakeupForever Anywhere Caffeine Lip Liner, which she uses to overline her upper lip. She finished off her lips by tapping some Pocket Blush in the center and placing some Lip Peptide Treatment on top.

I will be recreating this look ASAP. If you want to get in on the “shortcake” summer aesthetic, too, shop every product you need, ahead.
