The Best March Beauty Launches Will Set You Up for Spring
Lightweight moisturizers and shimmering body oils are just the highlights.
I will pick 65 degrees and sunny over snow-covered city streets at any point in time. Lucky for me, March has brought my ideal weather—and dozens of new beauty launches perfectly suited for the seasonal switch. Lightweight moisturizers have replaced heavy creams and cream blushes have added brightness to my makeup routine. New body lotions and oils have restored hydration to my incredibly flaky and ashy legs. And, new concealers have replaced heavy foundations.
Single-handedly, I’ve tested over 50 products this month. The rest of the Marie Claire team has done their fair share of swatching, skincare experimentation, and foundation applications, as well. Now, halfway through the month, we’ve successfully boiled down all the newness into the best 13 March beauty launches. I found my new go-to serum-foundation. Beauty Director Deena Campbell found a gentle and effective exfoliating treatment. Beauty Writer Sophia Vilensky discovered a matte lipstick that she’s wearing day in and day out. Senior Fashion and Beauty News Editor Halie LeSavage has upgraded her body care routine with Augustinus Bader’s The Geranium Rose Body Oil.
To find out exactly why the Marie Claire team swears by these products (and so many more), scroll ahead.

“I have a running joke that states I haven't slept since a week before my 7-year-old was born. That’s an exaggeration, but the reality is, I’m a horrible sleeper. However, I’m finding ways to get better like taking melatonin and not using a bright screen before bed. And, thankfully Noble Panacea’s newest treatment resurfaces my skin while I rest so that while I may feel tired, my skin looks better in the morning. The magic comes from micro-dosed, controlled release of AHAs and BHAs to give me softer skin. I’ve only used it a few times this month, but so far my skin is a touch brighter and firmer.” — Deena Campbell, Beauty Director
“I’m coming around to the mindset that my entire body deserves a dedicated skincare routine, not just my face. (I’m late, I know.) This Augustinus Bader Body Oil is my favorite new step in my full-body ritual. Once I’ve dried off after a shower, I rub it into my neck, arms, and legs. It’s a luxurious double-threat, with Bader’s custom amino-acid blend and Vitamin E making my skin glowy and supple all over, while the scents of rose and geranium oil provide some low-key aromatherapy.” — Halie LeSavage, Senior Fashion and Beauty News Editor
“I’ve seen Youthforia on TikTok—the brand’s pH adapting blush is one of the most viral products to date. But I hadn’t actually tried any offerings from the brand until this month. They added 10 new shades to their Date Night Skin Tint Serum Foundation, a necessary expansion to make the range more inclusive to all skin tones. Now, with shades available for the fairest to deepest skin tones, I can confidently say that this is one of the best formulas I’ve tried as of late. It’s incredibly lightweight and provides sheer-to-light coverage. It’s glowy without being sticky and the formula doesn’t separate over the course of a day.” — Samantha Holender, Beauty Editor
"Generally when I think volumizing, I think drying and chemical-based (how else do your roots stay high and plump?). But Fable & Mane (known for its beloved hair oil) have gone back to basics with this new product, that's inspired by the founders' grandmother's thickening hair tonic recipe. It uses onion extract (dont worry it doesn't smell like onions) to strengthen hair and apple extract to moisturize so you can add body to your hair while also stimulating new growth. We love multi-tasking!” — Neha Prakash, Entertainment Director
“Packaging isn’t everything, but the second I snapped the magnetic lid off of Westman Atelier’s gorgeous new lipstick I knew I was in for something special. Extremely light yet somehow hydrating, these lovely lipsticks even have a little mirror hidden in the cap for on-the-go touch ups. The 10 colors also couldn’t be any better—I can think of multiple occasions where I want to wear each one (especially LFG, a perfect fuchsia).” — Sophia Vilensky, Freelance Beauty Writer
"If you haven't tried Violette FR's Bisou Blush, you owe it to yourself to try: It's a marbled pigment, which means the blush on your cheeks is multidimensional. My favorite in the past has been their neutral pink "Louise" color; It's perfect for people who suffer from rosacea like me, because it balances out the redness in my skin. But, their new coral "Mélanie" is just divine, blending pinks with peaches. The end result is a coral color that complements the natural pink in my face and enhances my complexion with just a bit more pigment.” — Katherine J. Igoe, Contributing Syndications Editor

“You should be wearing sun protection all year round, regardless of the weather, but the issue is especially pressing now that temperatures are heating up and the sun is out. If, like me, you’re in the market for a new sunscreen, consider this option from Murad. It’s broad spectrum, meaning that it protects against UVA and UVB rays, both of which have been linked to skin cancer. Plus, it never leaves a white cast—something that I appreciate as my skin tone deepens over the course of the season.” — Gabrielle Ulubay, Beauty Writer
The Best New Deo
"I've been doing my best to transition to aluminum free deodorant, and this respberry & rose scented formula makes the idea much more palatable. It has an amazing scent, nourishes my skin with great ingredients like niacinamide, and helps repair my skin barrier and tone. Plus, I can feel good about using a non-toxic formula." — Samantha Holender, Beauty Editor
“I’m the first to admit that I don’t have terrible KP, otherwise known as strawberry skin. But, I do have a little patch on my upper arm that doesn’t like to cooperate. Cut to: First Aid Beauty’s new KP Bump Eraser. The formula features a mix of chemical and physical exfoliants that slough away dead skin cells, reduce the redness, and smooth out the area after just one use. The scrub has a new (!!) natural strawberry smell (no artificial fragrance!), which is ideal for my sensitive skin.” — Samantha Holender, Beauty Editor
“After five-odd years in a committed relationship with a concealer I won’t name, I’m ready to break up and move on with Saie. It was impossible not to fall love with this lightweight yet hardworking concealer, since it’s stacked with ingredients that hydrate, brighten, and smooth my skin all at once. When I have a blemish—which is fairly often—the formula instantly covers it up without looking cakey. Forget a five-minute face; this concealer improves my complexion in just two." — Halie LeSavage, Senior Fashion and Beauty News Editor
“I might as well be the biggest Weleda Skin Food fan to exist. (It’s the best highlighter out there, in case you were wondering.) Dare I say I love the brand’s new Plumping Day Cream just as much? It’s incredibly hydrating; just a dime-size amount of product makes me look well-rested and radiant. With ingredients like sunflower seed oil, pomegranate extract, and olive leaf extract, I’m able to get antioxidant protection and moisture from a single product.” — Samantha Holender, Beauty Editor
“When formulating their new serum, bodycare brand Iota created a moodboard full of lush textures (think satin, piles of tulle, cashmere) and soft blue hues that could very easily put me in a meditative state. The result was Supercloud, a deeply hydrating (baby blue!) body serum that’s been a godsend for me during the dry Midwestern winter. After a shower, I apply liberally before any lotions. My legs, knees, and elbows are finally hydrated and oh so happy.” — Sophia Vilensky, Freelance Beauty Writer
“Knowing that Rihanna is a regular Cookies and Clean Face Mask user—and the brains behind the entire Fenty range—I had all the faith I needed to try the brand’s new Cookies and Clean Face Scrub. Ingredients like salicylic acid and volcanic acid are highlighted, but despite their pore-cleansing and exfoliating properties, my skin is never left feeling stripped or irritated. I have sensitive skin, so I’ve only been using this once per week. More oily skin types can tolerate use two to three times per week.” — Samantha Holender, Beauty Editor
“When the weather gets warmer, it’s time to switch out rich creams in favor of lighter lotions—your skin doesn’t need to be bathed in thick, occlusive products. This new Beekman range, which features bio-engineered goat milk (you get the same, skin-nourishing benefits without the heavy texture or smell), is one swap I’m excited to make. It has mattifying properties and controls shine, but still leaves skin feeling hydrated and healthy.” — Samantha Holender, Beauty Editor
