The Pop Stars Keep Coming: Kesha Will *Also* Appear on 'Jane the Virgin'

Update, 9/1: Seems Brit Brit isn't the only pop singer heading to Miami—Kesha has just signed on to guest star in season 2 of Jane the Virgin as well, according to E! News. But unlike Britney, who will be playing herself, Kesha will be playing Annabelle, a new next door neighbor of Jane who is not a fan of living next to a crying baby.

The role will come into play on episode two, and will be Kesha's first acting role, and it seems Kesha is super excited:

And considering Rodriguez has name-dropped other celebs she'd love to have on her show, we'd say this is only the beginning. 

Original story, 8/11: Everything about this is amazing: Britney Spears is heading to Marbella Hotel, as she'll be joining the cast of Jane the Virgin for an episode in season 2, reports Time. 

The performer will have a small part as Rogelio De La Vega's "nemesis." De La Vega is a telenovela superstar and father to Jane Villanueva, played by Gina Rodriguez. 

"We are so thrilled that Rogelio's 'nemesis'—Britney Spears—has agreed to appear on Jane The Virgin in episode 205," Jennie Snyder Urman said in a statement. "Personally, after hearing about their long-standing feud (from Rogelio's point of view), we are eager to hear Ms. Spears' side of the story, which we assume is quite different. #TeamBritney"
